Non-fiction writing

me
If I have weird stuff like this everybody must, right?

Little-known fact: I created the wikipedia entry for Justine Larbalestier back in 2006.

I also created the entry for Janet and Anne Grahame Johnstone, my favorite illustrators from childhood.

For school I wrote an entry on the Library Best Practices wiki about Library services for those in prison.

What odd bits of your writing are floating around on the internets?

This is the most obscure thing I have out there: Social Impact of Jack the Ripper.

This is the thing I'm happiest with: Something about Interactive Fiction

I'm more or less responsible for the Wikipedia entries on Kroger Babb, The Turk, and Robert Benchley. At my peak, I think I may have started around 200-250 articles there.

I'm almost embarassed at how much time I spent with Wikipedia back in the day.

Haha

Have you read Paper Towns yet? The mc has a friend who is obsessed with updating Wikipedia (well, it's not called that but that's what it is).

Yeah, I did get a kick out of that. John Green's good like that.

His supporting characters always feel so real. Even though Katherines was my least favorite of his books so far (which is like saying "my pinky is my least favorite finger") I think Hassan is my favorite side character of his so far.

I've got nothing out there, but I think it's so cool that you have created entries for Wikipedia.

Before I'd ever dreamed of being a writer, I had to do some non-fic write-ups for some bodybuilding contests that were published in Natural Bodybuilding and Fitness Magazine. I still have people contact me about those once in a while and I'm so embarrassed by the horrible writing!

It can't be that bad! Does it have typos or something? Or are you just your own worst critic? ;)

I guess it's just boring with all the sentence structures exactly the same...so-and-so did this, and so-and-so did that. Anyway, I try not to look at it much. haha.
