Thanks very much! I did an interview for the local paper awhile back and the reporter asked if I write with my teens as my intended audience. I told her no. I mean, you really can't do that. But being around them, doing book discussions with them, it has definitely been interesting and eye-opening to see what they like and what rings false for them.
On top of just loving my job and feeling great about working with my teens and being part of my community I think the writing-specific benefit is the reassurance that reality is always stranger than fiction, ha!
